Oconomowoc ClearCorrect

Hand Holding Clear AlignerAre you seeking a more beautiful looking smile in Oconomowoc but not looking for the hassle of traditional braces? ClearCorrect might be the perfect solution for you! Many adult patients think that correcting misalignment is reserved for kids and teenagers, but thanks to ClearCorrect, no one even has to know your wearing braces. The “aligners” are composed of plastic trays which completely remove the need for any metal fixtures. These trays are virtually invisible and can be removed at any time. This makes activities like eating, brushing and flossing much easier than traditional orthodontic braces. ClearCorrect also requires less visits to the dentist or orthodontist than traditional braces.

How Does The ClearCorrect System Work?

ClearCorrect starts with a visit to our office where we will take impressions of your teeth for creating a 3d model. Your teeth’s moldings are then sent to a dental technician that will work with us to create a digital treatment plan. Our doctors will customize a full plan for each patient based their bite and corrective needs. The plan is then communicated with the lab where your entire course of aligners are custom fabricated to fit your precise moldings. These aligners are then shipped back to our office and the doctor will provide you with them upon your next visit. Each aligner would be worn for a course of about 3 weeks. You will then need to visit our offices roughly once every two months for check-ups.

Clear Aligner Benefits

  • Allows you to remove the straightening trays whenever you want
  • Removal allows you to eat the foods you enjoy
  • Trays (braces) are virtually invisible to the naked eye
  • Promotes better oral hygiene over traditional braces which make teeth hard to clean
  • Trays will not cut open the interior of the mouth like traditional braces
  • Dental office visits are less frequent than traditional braces

Benefits Compared to Traditional Braces

Both traditional braces and ClearCorrect will treat a wide variety of cases that include teeth crowding, spacing issues, crossbites, over-bites and under-bites. The best thing about ClearCorrect however, is that it virtually invisible to the naked eye and can be taken out whenever you need. This allows for better oral hygiene and more enjoyable meals. Patients with traditional braces have often complained of discomfort due to the metal fixtures involved, but with ClearCorrect the uncomfortable metal is replaced with smooth plastic.

How long will I wear them?

The length of your ClearCorrect treatment depends on the patient. Sometimes it is only necessary to use the system to close a few spaces or treat minor malocclusion. Because each case is different, treatment can last anywhere from as little as 3 months. In some cases, treatment can last a little longer than 16 months.

How long is each aligner worn before moving on to the next one?

Typically each aligner is worn for a period of two weeks. However, each course is specific to the patient and therefore your doctor will outline a specific plan or cycle for each patient.

Is there a recommended age group for ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect treatment is great for both teens and adults who’s malocclusion as ideal for treatment. Other problems may exist with a patients bite that may require a more traditional orthodontic approach. Each patient should be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

What is the cost difference in comparison to traditional braces?

Cost is typically comparable to traditional braces but again varies on a case by case basis. If a longer course is needed to correct the malocclusion, pricing can increase.
